I found Nooshin in 2014 when I lost weight and wanted to reward myself with some custom-made suits. More than 10 years later I am still wearing those two suits (and have since purchased two more, plus a couple of blazers and several shirts), making the cost-per-wear lower than the store bought suits I have discarded over the years. The best thing about Nooshin is her care for each customer. She spends plenty of time looking at different fabrics and colours, which is why I love all of the suits and blazers she has created for me, knowing I could never find something so unique off the shelf. She even found a creative way of widening the trousers of the two original suits when I regained the weight and also replaced the lining on one of the jackets when it became worn. The initial cost of a tailored suit might seem high, but with the quality and care that Nooshin provides, the suit pays for itself over the years.
Nooshin has tailored a number of beautiful pieces for me over the years, ranging from dresses and coordinating jackets for work, to outfits for special occasions which included a mother of the groom and mother of the bride ensembles. I enjoyed the entire creative process with her beginning with design, to selecting fabrics and colors, the fittings, and the exquisite finishing details. I was simply delighted with the ingenuity and craftsmanship Nooshin demonstrated in making my wish come true. I was gifted by my late father yards of beautiful black and azure blue thin pinstripe material from Saville Row which he never had made up, and which he wanted me to have made into a coat. The traditional pattern for pinstripe for men and women would be a straight line maxi coat, instead I wanted the pin stripe material made up in a truly feminine design. Nooshin created for me the most beautiful light weight belted and collared coat with ruched sleeves and a flare skirt which draws comments from everyone “I love your jacket !!” Customised tailoring is a personal journey and this was even more so for me on this occasion, which is why I always go to Nooshin for all my tailoring solutions.
Nooshin will make you feel like a queen, and that’s before she’s even taken your measurements. Nothing is quite as confidence boosting as wearing an elegantly tailored outfit, or more fun than choosing fabrics in the knowledge that you’ll soon own something totally bespoke and completely unique. Also, it’s less expensive than you would think. Already dreaming up my next piece, I highly recommend a visit to this lovely lady.

I met Nooshin Bakhshi at a networking event and loved what she was wearing. I then asked her to make me a couple of outfits, one a versatile black dress and the other a two piece. Nooshin sat down with me and asked questions about what I wanted suggesting and providing her own input which was invaluable. Both outfits were, and still are so beautiful. I recently wore the wonderful cobalt blue two piece and received so many amazing compliments. Since then I have followed Nooshin and her creative new designs which are all so awesome! I had a rare request for Nooshin, which was to make my official outfit for my role as High Sheriff of Hertfordshire. First she designed me a dress and jacket for other special occasions and I was amazed at her creativity, eye for colour and fit, with enormous attention to detail. I have not used a dress designer before, but I now realise how vital it is for an outfit to fit properly, especially with my narrow uneven shoulders.
The colour and shape of my High Sheriff velvet coat is stunning. Nothing was too much trouble, even having to create a lace jabot and cuffs and use prescribed High Sheriff buttons. The fittings were friendly but efficient, with lots of photos and discussions along the way! I am delighted with the end result of both the coat and the dress underneath.
